Bunkered Magazine Editor's Choice Essentials List June 2024

Updated: 2 days ago

We are thrilled to have been selected as an essential item by the editors of the world renowned Bunkered Magazine!

Hopefully Nelly Korda (featured on the front cover - see above) makes the connection and realises that she's missing an essential Gannet™ pitch mark repair tool! Nelly, if you're reading this, I think you'd make a fine ambassador for Gannet™, and all those greens you hit will be thankful. We even forgive you for calling it a Divot Repair Tool in advance :) .

Bunkered has been around for my whole golfing life and I remember my days as a junior golfer at Cathcart Castle Golf Club in the southside of Glasgow being occasionally taken to another golf course, such as Wigtownshire County or Dunskey in Portpatrick and my dad using a "Bunkered ticket" to get a discounted round of golf. The deals allowed us to play completely different courses and grew my love of the game.

Hopefully this is another positive step towards our goals of empowering the considerate golfers out there, and making pitch mark repair a zen like action which induces a smooth flow into your pre putt routine.

As the inventor it's kind of my duty now to search for every pitch mark left behind on every green, but I really enjoy it and feel good that I've done something good and selfless. I was always a 3 pitch mark per green guy anyway so now it's just easier and more fun with the Gannet™ . I guess I developed Gannet™ for me too.

I attended an event in Edinburgh once, and there was a man there making a speech. I will never forget the story he told of how he would occasionally pay the bridge toll for the person behind him, knowing he would never get thanks for it from that person. I thought that was really cool and I hope we can take that principle into Gannet™ moving forward. Leaving the kettle full, putting your rubbish in the recycling and repairing pitch marks.

The Gannet pitch mark repair tool is the ideal present for a golfer - whether it be your mum or dad who plays golf or another relative or friend.

Thank you on behalf of the next golfers.

David Kellock

Inventor of the Gannet™ pitch mark repair tool.
